HI. I hope you can help me. I have an HP mini 110, it has a problem: I cannot connect anything to the main WWAN port because it freezes the netbook. So I removed the wireless/BT combo card that originally came with it and now it works perfect, (of course, no wirelesss connection). It has an alternate wwan port, so I decided to give it a try and downloaded a modded BIOS from this forum, and it detects the second wirelessNIC, (remember: i'm not using the main port, i'm using the second one), but within windows I can't enable the wirelees traffic, although windows detects it, but the card it's disabled, tried wit an atheros and a realtek card, both are detected by windows but are disabled. Any ideas of how to enable them? Remember: the main wwan port is not used because it cuases to freeze the machine with every wirelessnic I tried, i'm attaching these cards to the alternate port. TIA
Haha, nevermind, I'm a complete retard right now. If anyone here needs to bios mod a x120e and windows is suddenly unactivated, the tools to insert the SLIC 2.1 are actually included in the download, but not exactly documented. To insert the SLIC table while flashing, run the flash_TP8F_marker script, and the firmware will flash along with the SLIC 2.1 code.
No new ideas on this? I forgot to mention: the downloaded bios from this forum successfully removed blaclisted hardware. But then again, the main WAN port is failing, that's ahy I'm trying tu use the alternate WWAN port, but I can't enable the wwan card within windows. Thanks
