    Boys,

I have tried with the link you have posted for 1.17 no whitelist, and my x220i died. Had a great luck for having a colleague who is taking bios module from motherboard and fix it on eprom ... something.

Wow, thanks. I can't wait to try it out. I've got HPtools on a fat32 flash drive already.

My question is...can this list be completly removed or disabled or the only solution possible is to edit it ? in other words, to replace the data for one card with another ?

I was unaware of this strategy untill now. A few weeks ago i replaced the same model inside an Asus laptop and everything was ok. I was taken completly by surprise and first i thought there is maybe an incompatibility between the new AMD Brazos platform and Intel components, but this whitelist was the last thing i expected.

Even more unpleasent is that not having a dedicated back door, i have to completly open the netbook every time i want to change something.

Hey 0rez, do you mean the full HP factory partition, or do you mean an install of the HP Diagnostics program as described in earlier posts here?

Did you remove it outright? Do you think the method would work on a Toshiba? I couldn't find the DEV ID of my card in the bios files when I opened them up with PBEP.
