And to why I want to remove these.. Because I want to..If folk choose not to, no big deal. I simply want to. back to the drawing board... Should have gone to Specsavers...
Somebody wanted to know how I removed the packages. The script saved as a .cmd ran after the image was mounted would remove the packages. The bottom one were the Store packages I removed, which I am thinking broke summet. Looks like I remove System Restore too by mistake... Shows I never looked properly at what I was doing.. Not the first time.. No major problem really. Win 10 is NOT my working OS anyway. On Win 8.1. All the messing I have been doing with Win 10 is on my test machine. I guess I will look more carefully at the store packages and start again..
Would just like to confirm it was NOT FeedBack causing the problem. I was told that wasn't the problem but I felt I had to find out. Just tested it using the image I had made last night. Only FeedBack removed and Win 10 activated. So will make sure I only remove the correct store packages for my next test. Can we confirm only Only those two packages can be removed safely ?
thats your problem their, u start removing services the OS start to break down or other thing things stop working.
M, A nice clean Start Menu is what I am aiming for. I don't mind breaking it. I will learn from that, move forward. I recon there will be many more broken installs till I get it just right.
Never had bother removing all of the Metro Apps. But do I have this right ? Are The Metro Apps the Provisioned Apps Packages ?
You just asked a rational question inside a debate fueled purely by aimless speculation and fierce emotion, so don't expect a rational answer. I cannot understand this obvious inner need some folks have to waste hours of their time butchering and tearing up Win10 data and file structures simply on account of some "feeling" they have that Microsoft is "spying on them" for some crazy reason... Then, when something or other happens as a result of all this unthinking file destruction & mutilation--they'd like to know how to "fix" it...! Lol...! It's just too funny. But you know, hey, it's their time and their problems they're causing, so if that's their cup of tea, I wish them the best. I admit the syndrome is fascinating to watch, however...! (Even if it doesn't make a lick of sense, imo.)
In not some programing pro but after I installed Windows 10 I straight away spotted suspicious data being sent out and in to my pc I didn't like it. That was the first reason I learned about Dism. Second I don't like my emails or my contacts being kept on Microsoft servers that was the second reason why I learned how to use Dism. Took me a few weeks, and about 20 new installations before I made my windows 10 be the way I want it to be. No crapware no suspicious data movement no background tasks that I don't know about no useless cpu ram usage for no reason etc. It takes time esp if youre newbie to clean Windows 10 of junkware but it's worth of the trouble just the same as Google rom, why do you think custom Android rooms are so popular? Because of better customisation because of more resource friendly and no Google junkware, Microsoft has made out of Windows what Google made out of Android
I do it for the laugh. I like messing. Often get it wrong to start with then learn how not to do it wrong. I don't see why it's getting to be such a big issue. I knew I had removed a wrong package. I knew somebody on here who is into removing packages would point me in the right direction. They did. I don't mind if you do no want to mess with your OS files. Why worry yourself about what I do and how long I take doing it. If your not into this keep it to yourself !
@tnx the same was with me I was doing and doing and doing formatting removing formating removing until I was about to give up because I found that if I remove just one wrong package out of iso things won't work after install. In the end removed some out of iso rest from online image and everything worked and it does work for the last 6 hours
