You are correct, nowhere on the box does it mention Cruzer nor on the flash drive. I was using that in the name since the lady I bought them from called them that. I will update the spreadsheet w/ the correct name for future use. Your link has the exact same item # as on my box under the 16GB tab SanDisk Extreme® USB 3.0 Flash Drive Selected: 16GB | Item # SDCZ80-016G-X46 thank you Helmutcheese for the correction Edit: I bought several of these since they are soooo fast & that's what I wanted
Was not a big deal but stores keep misnaming it meaning someone may buy a Cruzer thinking they are getting these fast speeds.
Ran the command, cmd window open and closes... i think it does not detect it. Also the speeds are a max of like 80 MB/s
elevated cmd (with prompt and blinking cursor) is needed still your speed is more than double of before...
i reflashed my usb3 stick with Phison MPALL v3.63.0C-DL17 before it showed Kinsgton it was a DTSE9 8gb now it shows USB 3.0 disk.. i think it made it a bit faster.. not sure as i didnt benchmark it before or after. warming.. i didnt find a way to go back to original kingston firmware. but works ok. 1 pc old emachines w3626 or something showed USB-Tape drive and would not boot it. boots fine with other USB SDHC adapter 2.0.. i think its bios bug not usb.
This hard disk [h=1]Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive STBU100010[/h]gives me 60-80 and the other, [h=1]Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1 TB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive STAA1000301 With USB 3.0 Adapter Upgrade[/h]gives me no more than 30
Here is my comparison w/ a WD Passport Essential USB 3.0 Hdd - 500GB Edit: I use this external drive primarily for Windows2Go w/ a storage partition included now. My testing was before I installed W2G.
Use Driver Genius Professional. You can get detail about installed drivers and their updates if any.Sometimes it gives you incompatible drivers but the OS will tell you that.Always spend time trying different drivers version until you reach the best drivers suitable for your OS.It took me days, before, testing different drivers versions and I have the right sit for my Win 8.I know better than MS.
A bit late but as promised SanDisk Extreme 64GB: I did not empty of files as not watched them all yet so not ideal and used my Front Card Readers port not rear Mobo I/O on new Z87 Chipset so Intel USB 3.0 with MS drivers (no Intel Win 8/8.1 drivers so far). Still 268MB/s Read and 205MB/s Write.
