When I try to install the repack, it tells me that the XInput1_1/2/3/4 files on my computer are a newer version. I'm not really sure how to verify this or where the DLLs with their latest versions come from
Only XInput1_4 is inbox component since Windows 8 (and it's not part of the dx repack) goto C:\windows\system32 and check the Properties > Details for the other 3 files to see what versions you have
Sorry for the late reply; here are the versions of the files I have xinput1_1 10.0.26200.0 xinput1_2 10.0.26200.0 xinput1_3 10.0.26200.0
Are you on Win11 25H2? those version means it's installed by some update or ms product but i can't find a source for them
I think i have seen this version in Wine files Wine also (mistakenly?) ships D3DCompiler_46.dll which corresponds to no actual Windows system file. There is 43 from the directx redist and 47 from Win10+
@Lord44 - it's not abandoned project to hijack, you can create your own fork without making the version like it's continuation for the project - x86 version works correctly for x86 Windows as intended, not x64 Windows - os-specific version means the files are not for all Windows versions - ps, compressing 7z sfx inside another 7z archive is pointless, just use a zip
