Safer to just "install from an official source": https ://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vc_redist.x86.exe https ://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
You can manually extract Uninstaller.cmd with 7-zip/winrar, and run it as administrator see if that removes them
There may be several reasons for not uninstalling some packages. For example, they can be marked as dependent packages for some other installed programs and they will not be uninstalled, also the situation could have occurred with the Windows update (exit code 1603, internal code in the system log 1402, related to missing entries in the system registry). At the beginning you can go to System Log and see why these packages have not been uninstalled, you can also use my program (the link is in the signature), at the end of the installation you will be able to see the exit codes and why some packages have not been uninstalled. Then, if you want, you can write to me through the website (direct conversation), or through a private message on the forum, enclosing screenshots with error codes, I will try to help you. P.S. Please, do not answer me in this thread, it's not created by me. My programs were created to help users in solving difficult situations, so I just want help.
Hello abbodi1406 I have already downloaded your .NET Framework 3.5 package. I am now downloading your packages for visual studio runtimes. But, I am still not sold out as to why I should use your versions instead of the official ones. You say it is free of bloat, in what way? Also, can you update the VS 2017 to version 14.15.26706.0 (last version) ? thx.
Hi, The repack has been updated with this version since 27/07/2018 : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...runtimes-2018-07-26.76588/page-6#post-1452671
Well, you could measure the disk footprint with some monitor program i made one with TotalUninstall on Win7 x86, excluding VB/C++ package: original installers ~ 115 MB aio repack ~ 65 MB VC++ 2012/2013/2017 cache the runtimes sources (msi/cab) in "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache" 2017 additionally cache the UCRT msu file for non Windows 10 VC++ 2010 installer is basically old .msi pack + .msp patch, and both are cached in "C:\Windows\Installer" VSTOR 2010 installer contain old VC++ 2010 .msi pack + old .msp patch, the latter will be cached too VC++ 2005/2008 installers are hotfixes, once installed, WU will offer older security installers for both VC++ 2012 v11.0.61135.40 don't have original installer VC++ 2019 installers (versions from late 2020) do not support processors without SSE2 instruction
it's possible add the old versions of Visual Basic? For example UnrealEd from Unreal Gold need a old version of Visual Basic. Cheers.
I don't understand much in old runtimes or how they work or gathered the included ones were collected by ricktendo64
