@freddie-o regarding this part: Where exactly did you find those reg. keys? i never seen any of them performing some kind of a logging. At least not in Event Viewer. Can you expand some more on this. Like description of each key etc. Thanks.
Hi Freddie-o, have used your last script for the install.wim! Everything works, only now Microsoft edge is still installed with. Can you say why you did it that way? Just a question, I do not want to annoy you Thanks for your work! I expect more good scripts
Are you asking why Microsoft Edge is installed? My script just disables telemetry in Edge not remove it
Updated the script to prevent Microsoft Edge from being installed in 19042(20H2), 19043(21H1), 19044(21H2) and Server 2022
after running this script I'm getting an error when outlook opens "something went wrong, please try again later. 0x80070426 it still seems to work after that, but it shows the exclaimation mark on the outlook icon in the task bar. if I go into office account and click "fix me", the same error appears I'm running windows 10 pro and office 365 apps for enterprise (via edu email). I've tried going through some of the options I would think be the culperate in this script but no luck so far. I've also tried googling but most of the results are the generic "run SFC scan" which didn't help. any suggestions? EDIT: after reinstalling and logging out and back in, it seems the education account works but not adding on another personal account? very weird. still trying to figure out if it's this script causing the issue or not EDIT2: ended up doing a system restore and all is well it seems
Very interesting, thanks. Did anyone tried it on Windows 11 ? How does it compare to O&O Shutup10++ ?
@freddie-o with the latest update(KB5011543) Windows started pushing new annoying feature in the search menu, called suggested. Any chance finding how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance for taking the time!
Doesn't show up in my Search box maybe it's disabled. Besides I don't use Windows Search. I use a 3rd party search tool

Good afternoon. First of all, thank you for this great work that you publish for the benefit of all. Tell you that I am trying to do it but it gives me an error. The same error in 2 different pc´s and with different install.wim I guess I'm not doing something right. In this second wim I have obtained it from en-us_windows_10_business_editions_version_21h2_x64_dvd_ce067768.iso I attached the error in case you want to see it. Greetings. @freddie-o As for your firewall settings - https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...lemetry-repository.63874/page-73#post-1724179 you should clearly state that this is the settings in - Symantec Endpoint Protection. I still thought it was the windows firewall settings You need to open the included spoiler - only then do you see the Symantec logo. It is not clearly written.
How could it be windows firewall settings when my script disables Windows firewall (which I also mention in the post) Not everybody uses Symantec and has to configure their firewall the way I do
