I used the previous versions on Win10 LTSC for 3 years or so and Personally never had any problems with it, but I know people who did. I use Sledgehammer - windows update control ( found on MDL) I install that first and run it once, then run blackbird. run blackbird again with the "/" option to force removal of any stubborn tasks, run again with the "i" option to re-enable the notifications and the "devices" option in settings menu and finally "A" option to shutdown any apps I don't want.
Remove this s**ti blackbird It cause my print screen button to be non functional Actually, re-install my ltsc 2021 fresh install for good stable system
I remember the days when we could extract the .bat file from the .exe file, so we could actually monitor what was going on, even edit it... happy days
I use my Comodo HIPS options for that it stops the process until I tell it it's OK / Not OK You can copy / monitor Created files during the process running in background
Is there a light version of this that doesnt delete system files and services? I would like to implement this but being limited to group policy options that are easily undoable if something stops working, could I just keep the lines with HKLM*Policies* entries? Dont know if that makes sense, would the running services undo some of the settings disabled by the policy options?
No. There are the 1st and 2nd posts of this thread that you can refer to. This way you know exactly how and what you are disabling and you can undo them just in case.
I missed that I thought it was not up to date anymore. It looks like its meant to be run by setupcomplete.cmd, if I'm not using Windows Setup but just plain dism applied image, what would be the best way to run it in an unattend.xml?
What kind of question is that? If you're using unattend.xml, there's basically just one way (RunSynchronous under specialize pass after placing the script in a known and accessible location).
Does changing the key - version - sku - from pro to enterprise - change telemetry settings? It is known that in pro setting the telemetry in gpedit to 0 - practically does not work - windows sets it to 1 - so there is partial telemetry. After changing the key - to enterprise or edu - does it show that the system version is enterprise or edu - these settings are applied to 0 - are they still set to 1? I mean does it work on an INSTALLED system?
Hi, forgive my bad English but I'm not a native speaker. I am enthusiastically "playing" your offline script with a Win installation. SERVER 2022, obviously modified for my version of the OS. The search for installed programs in the START MENU does not work, (when, for example, you type WINVER and it compares the link executable). I've been working on it for three days, but I can't figure it out ... be so kind and point me out which REGEDIT key must remain unchanged. Thank you in advance A greeting
My script disables indexing and Search telemetry. Somehow it disables Windows Search also in Server In Windows 10 (and 11) Windows Search still works I don't use Windows Search... I use a 3rd party tool (If you use my telemetry script in Server might I suggest using a 3rd party Search tool too ) I added a warning in my script for Server
OK, then I consider alternative ... The price to pay for more privacy Thanks a lot for your interest.
