Hi everyone, I am trying to recover old data from a legacy backup set created in the mid-2000s. The files are archived using Avantrix Backup Plus DVD Edition (the main executable was typically named BackPlus.exe). Unfortunately, the developer is long gone and all standard software mirrors point to dead links. I am trying to restore files from an orphaned container (likely using a .bac or multi-part archive format). Does anyone happen to have a clean copy of this installer or a physical disc rip archived in their software vault? Alternatively, if anyone remembers this specific software and knows what compression engine Avantrix used under the hood, or if there is a known alternative tool that can unpack these containers, I would greatly appreciate the guidance. I have tried renaming the file extension to .zip and .rar, but no go. Thanks in advance for any help!
