    Hey everyone,

I’m hoping someone here might be able to help with a bit of an OEM preservation / nostalgia project.

I’m trying to restore two older HP Envy Phoenix desktops back to their original factory OEM state:

    • HP Envy Phoenix 810-150se
    • HP Envy Phoenix 810-270st
Originally, the 810-150se still had its factory 2TB HDD with the HP recovery partitions intact, and I successfully created recovery media from it years ago. Unfortunately, both the original recovery partitions and the USB recovery media later became corrupted/lost.

Since then, I’ve actually managed to recover most of the original HP recovery structure using data recovery tools, including:

    • HP Recovery Manager
    • WinRE structure
    • install.swm / install2.swm / etc
    • OEM recovery partitions
    • HP factory image metadata
However, the recovered factory image appears to contain corruption in the SWM chain. DISM and HP Recovery consistently fail during image application around 3-5%.

At this point, I’m specifically looking for:

    • original OEM recovery media
    • HP recovery USB/DVD sets
    • recovery ISOs
    • cloned recovery partitions
    • or recovery image backups
    for either:

    • HP Envy Phoenix 810-150se
    • HP Envy Phoenix 810-270st
I know I could simply install clean Windows 8.1/10, but this is honestly more of a preservation and nostalgia project for me. I’d really like to restore the original HP OEM experience properly:

    • factory preload
    • HP software/utilities
    • Beats Audio setup
    • OEM branding/themes
    • original recovery environment
    • out-of-box setup experience
I’m also aware that Computer Surgeons used to provide HP recovery media, but unfortunately they’ve gone out of business and are no longer able to help.

If anyone happens to still have recovery media or recovery image backups for either of these systems, I’d seriously appreciate it.

    Thank you!
