Buy a better GPU to start with and CPU for last 144 MHz monitor and you get the best FPS you could wish for
If stripping down windows improves your gaming by any worthwhile/noticeable amount, your machine is not up to gaming in the first place
Remove stuff from windows but add all those things to improve game performance? Okay. Start by recycling your early 2000's PC.
Sincerely? Players do not need this. Today's games require so new hardware that simply disabling services or the removal of unused resources does not make any difference in performance. A smaller version would be good in the maintenance context, when you need to boot in the shortest time possible in several old machines to perform simple tasks. In this case, less is more. But on top of the line computers in fixed installations, will not make any difference. cheers
