Does anyone know what kms host key must be installed on the host? I have made a vm for activating Win8, so I suppose I only need to add an office host key? Or will that also break the host's activation?
Yes, just add the key using slmgr.vbs. You can separately activate & check its status using slmgr.vbs /ato {SKU ID} & slmgr.vbs /dlv {SKU ID}. For example, the SKU ID of Office 2013 Preview Volume License Pack is 6026312b-6da9-45c2-aad1-650108de14eb. Host activation isn't touched at all.
Yap.. thats the beauty of KMS:CSVLK keys. Just one time activation by internet/phone. Basically for this nature of activation, we can reproduce those home-made KMS servers.
