hi there, i just modded the BIOS of a Sony VAIO VGN-FW46M. just wanna make sure, if I did it right: 1. download original bios 2. run the .exe 3. copy the files out of the temp folder -> i get a R3110Y0.ROM 4. use phoenixtool 1.84, default settings (dynamic) of course the original bios was flashed 1st and the rw-everything report is from that original bios. can i flash this modbios? i would have done it already, if i didnt see that thread. i just dont want to brick the notebook of my friend... lol
Hi all! my friend had got a Lenovo B460 and BIOS Phoenix type, I can't found file BIOS on the site support Lenovo Home (file BIOS use to modify). I'm try find on this site file BIOS include SLIC2.1 for Lenovo B460 but no found, too! And i want question:Can I use file BIOS( that I use tool to Backup BIOS current) to Mod??? thanks you! Sorry, I use English bad!
thanks TTAV134! oh my... i thought it would be a phoenix bios as i had to use the phoenixtool 1.84 to modify. so i just have to use aptio afudos or aptio afuwingui to flash. the bios i made is correct? regards
okay, thats right. but i didnt ask, if i should flash the bios, sorry if i didnt make that clear. i asked, if i made a mistake with the mod. or was this the right procedure to modify one of that "problematic Phoenix bioses, preferably SONY VAIO"? obviously it isnt even a phoenix bios, though i had to use phoenixtool 1.84. i know its my decision whether to flash a bios or not. i just asked in the request thread, because i am a newb and i wanted a confirmation from someone who knows better than me...
