Hello all, i tried to search the forum for a Bios Mod with Slic 2.1 for Sony Vaio VGN-N31M/W? Cant find anything.. Maybe someone have a Link for it? Or should i post all the details for a Bios mod request here? Thanks
Hmm, at the moment I have Bios Version: R0100J4! This one is the Original one, i never updated it! Maybe this one matches you think?
Okay, thanks, then I will try it!! EDIT: I made a mistake, I flashed the new Bios without Slic2.1! I took the wrong file. When i now try to reflash the right file, i became a message that the Bios can't be updated because it's the same Version. How the flash now the right file?! Maybe i must try it with DOS-Tools?
Yes, after installing the older one and then the new right one, Slic2.1 is installed! Many thanks to 555LE for his help in this!
Hi Community! After I got no working solution in the other thread - I would try it here and hope for assistance. I need a BIOS for following Hardware: Fujitsu Siemens LIFEBOOK S7220 latest BIOS-Version 1.15 (including new vgabios) BIOS-File and RWA-Report: hxxp://ul.to/r2m4js97 First I tried it by myself: phoenixtool185 - dynamic - standard settings: brick phoenixtool185 - SSV2 - standard settings: brick brick means that I had no BIOS loading (dark screen, no fan) and had to recover Serg008 already tried it: hxxp://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/20258-FUJITSU-Lifebook-e-serie-E8420-3.04-bios-update brick... (E8420 has a similar BIOS with same problem) One Problem seems to be that there are !four! (2x 2.0, 2x 2.1) SLIC information already in BIOS file and something (DMI-Data?) selects the already active SLIC 2.0 at start... I suggest repacking to ROM-File could be another problem. I tried to mod it manually by replacing the 2.0 sections with the ones from 2.1 too using Hex-Editor and Phoenix-Tool (noSLIC-Option). - brick... This seems to be a challenge! I hope we can work together to find a solution. Greetings Phiber
