AFAIK the securecore bios is UEFI Bios, not a normal Phoenix Bios. Not modifiable at this time with our tools. I cant wait until we get the tools thought, these new bios have many possibilities...
So now UEFI bios exist also for Acer Phoenix BIOS? I thought it was an Intel thing only (From the emachines intel board that I had). The laptop has a 1.01 version rom, I wonder if its UEFI? but it doesn't open with the bios editor, saying "invalid rom size". I need to somehow convert it into a ROM format from WPH. Has anyone been able to backup a rom with phlash in dos WITHOUT flashing the new one in? are there any patched phlash to do that? maybe I can try uniflash. So the 1.06 bios link was not patched I think ? because its not patchable. Right now I am just trying to get XP OEM to run on it via the DMI mod... but its so difficult with this board.
@zort i'm not sure if i am supposed to report back on this just wanted to let you know that it worked like a charm thanks again
