Sorry my english, I am from Czech Republik. This method did not work near to me well... 1. Open bios file with modbin6, and do nothing on this program. 2. Start WinHex, and go to: "Tools" ==> "Open RAM" ==> "Ntvdm #****" ==> "Primary Memory" 3. Edit target strings deployed in the memory, and go to: "File" ==> "Save" 4. Back to modbin6, and save the bios file. Modbin6 => Save mode BIOS (WinHex and edit target strings deployed in the memory->modbin6 save) and "systembios" remain on original - without changes.
no boot... Hi, Fzeven. A bad news... The double-modded binary made my PC gone (a total blackout, no access to any drive). It's now been revived, don't worry. I've got another board of the same model to recover the dead BIOS by "hot replacement" of the rom chip. At first, I tried replacement in the main and DMI blocks only, resulting in a total blackout (no access even to the diskette drive). After recovering the whole BIOS (and confirming a regular boot) flashing with an original non-modded binary, I tried a whole replacement (including the boot block) and failed into the same results. Both cases are done on DOS using awdflash.exe and the first try done also on Windows with Winflash. Could you make a verification when you've got time and if effective means are available?
@Fzeven i wanna say thanks mate, after looking at the bios u modded ive learned how to do it myself, and even put slp2 in aswell thanks
