Just to be clear for next time when I flash and make sure that I didn't screw up this last time, what are the proper/recommended switches to use when flashing with AWDFLASH.EXE? I used AWDFLASH.EXE XXXXXXXX.BIN /py /sn /cc /cd /cp /cks /r. It worked fine for me on my previous try before this last one. I was going from the original v15 to an SLP 2.0 modded v15 previously. This time I was going from the SLP 2.0 modded v15 to the SLP 1.0 and SLP 2.0 modded v16. Just wondering whether some of the clearing switches I used could have inadvertently cleared a critical part of the BIOS in the updated version causing the boot block to be corrupted.
The Abit P35 is a very pickey Bios, I used modbin to add the slp1.0 part. It isn't the latest version, there is a newer version but i'm still looking for it. So i think modbin screwed up. The slp2.0 part was done the same way as the confirmed one. So that shouldn't be the problem. Hope this clarifies some things
Thanks for the clarification. I was just wondering if some of the options I used with AWDFLASH caused some problems. The /cd option for example clears the DMI after programming. But I think you add SLP 1.0 by editing the DMI, correct? Just wondering if there are certain options I should avoid when flashing a modded BIOS.
It is wise to use the switch to clear the cmos after flashing. I've modded the slp1.0 the same way as earlier confirmed award bios one's. But most are 512kb of size, this is a 1024kb one, i suspect modbin can handle them correctly.
