    When Flash is correct and no SLIC appear :

    1) flash from dos
    2) reset default settings on bios
    3) post an acpiscope report.

    Edit: you post a request on the vista request thread. Do not post two request for the same bios.

    Can we mod the BIOS of an IBM Thinkpad R51 type 2887 for SLP1.0? If yes, what tools do we need? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I think this is a proprietary bios, like Dell. Can you dump eeprom data with a programmer ?

    vmware 6.5.0 build-118166

    tried using ResHack 3.4.0.79 to extarct bios from vmware-vmx.exe but all i get is a blank screen as if i hadn't open the file to view the resources, however i can view and extract 6006.rom with XN Resource 3.0.0.1. don't know if it matters i am using win vista home premium 64bit
    what could i be doing wrong with reshack, i even tried to run in xp sp2 comp mode uac is off and driver signing is off, ran as administrator. still no luck.
    i am trying to understand and learn how to modify bios's
    any help would greatly appreciated
