Dell Bios Hey, thought I would mention for all those people looking for a Dell bios. If you have a current model (ie. one that they have been selling with Vista). Try updating to their latest bios or at least one from the last 5 months.. I have a 6400/e1505 model bought a year ago and so did a friend. I checked and mine had slic entry and I successfully installed Vista. His did not have a slic entry so I updated his bios from their website. The most recent, I got an error so I went to the second last bios and installed that. I checked and now he has the same slic entry as mine so his bios is now good for Vista as well! Once I updated that bios I can now update his to the most recent without error so that must have been the cause of the error.
You mean afudos /ik7v4apr1.80 /pbnc /n /b ? And what is better to use? Problem is, that with afudos flashing couldn't start...do you think that additional parameter /b would work although all attempts via afudos ended "before flashing"? EDIT: Sorry, I overlooked your previous post, so I'll try asrflash utility with additional parameter and give you report then...
phrunt, obviously you aren't able to read german There will be no final, testet Bios versions for GA-k8nfxxx boards. To old. No more support. This german Gigabyte forum managed to put enough pressure on Gigabyte Taiwan that they redesigned the Bioses for those boards for Vista (C&Q) and also to get rid of one nasty overclocking bug that made FSB rates beyond 218Mhz impossible. So those betas are untested, but what people feedback on that german Forum is basically positive, only a few have random problems like the ones u are experiencing. So your problems "might" be due to the untested Beta, not due to the modding!
