China4ever or XBioses have any idea what is wrong with my the bioses you've given me? X's first one worked near perfectly as it said it had a slic table and everything in everest but it just wouldn't work. So my guess is that the slic was incomplete? Other then that though the only slight flaw was the floppy boot error.
No? What do you use X? I would like to know what to use myself so I can quit bothering you for possible future mods, and such. Also I read that you need cbrom 606 for my bios or else it will be corrupt.
No? Didn't activate or else? 1st mod was ISA.BIN mod by adding an ISA.BIN created by Shaoliang and friends with cbrom: e.g. cbrom 313.bin /other 40A4:0000 ISA.BIN (have SLIC inside) The other mods was using super-static mod, by editing acpitbl and 313.bin and adding a SLIC table. X
Sorry the no was in response to you saying that you don't use modbin. Yeah I just tested that last one and it doesn't work either. Again like the last time I can access the bios but Vista won't boot. Ah and as for the super-static mods I assume you entered in the info needed for if I had a default system? I added an additional 512mb of mem to this system for a total of 1.5GiB.
What tools are good to use in a 64 bit environment. Now that I have vista ultimate 64 I can't get modbin to work....which sucks because now I can't try modding myself unless I revert to xp mce 2005.
Super-staic is for all memory sizes, no relation with memory. I think you will need to do a clean instal, or simulate and instal until the part you have to choose partition, if you got to that part is possible the clean install work. This is a new method since there is no perfect method yet, but the test that I had made are working the last one was the GIGABYTE GA-945P-S3 (REV. 1) F4. So making your bios activate is better than a routine of easy bios modding. X
You can make the test of start an VISTA install to the point here you have choose an install partition. If you can get to that point I think (because I don't know) you should try it.
Hey can I have that ISA.BIN file? I want to try adding it that way via cbrom606 under freedos safe mode and see if it works.
