    Do i flash my bios then do the info on above this? do i need to reinstall vista before doing any of this?

    Is it possible u have broken something in the BIOS?

    Because my system hangs on "Initializing Floppy Drive Controller" even when there is no drive plugged in or the controller itself is disabled.

    No. I don't think to have broken anything, because I use same methods for any bios.

    X I did a reinstall of vista and get the same results....
    Please could you try modding it one more time and use cbrom606 because I read on a modding guide that older versions wont work right for getting it into my bios. Is it possible that the hp slic info is incomplete? Since this is an ASUS board should I just use ASUS?

    You don't need Asus OEM Vista, it's only need asus certificate and key.

    See some pages before to know how.
