that's very odd as another guy had success with that same bios a few days ago... get yourself everest, click on motherboard, click on acpi, and check that your root system description table says says _ASUS_ and Notebook and check your have a software licensing description table saying the same things. Also, how did you flash? and did you disable UAC before trying to install asusxrm and the key?
Yes, Vista Ultimate did say it was activated at first, and I am able to dump the BIOS using the OEM BIOS Emulation Toolkit, so I'm sure that the SLIC is there. But after I restarted the computer after updates, the "30 day" notification came up. Do you know if there was an update to ASUS.xrm-ms? Or do you know why in the world that would happen? Oh, and also: 1.) Yes, UAC was turned off 2.) OEM ID does say "_ASUS_" 3.) OEM Table ID does say "Notebook" Could installing certain drivers cause this to happen (since Microsoft requires you to reactivate if you make a *significant change to the system)? Update: I tried "SLMGR.VBS -ato" and it says "Error: Product activation failed." WSH: Software licensing service version: 6.0.6000.16386 Partial Product Key: 932CC
Request for Sony VGN-FZ190 Hello. I searched through the thread for Sony Vaio VGN-FZ190 BIOS mod, but I haven't found anything. I just wanted to check with the "BIOS mod gods" here in this thread to see if it's been done before. If not, what's the best way to extract the BIOS? Sony website does not have anything related to the BIOS on their website. Thank you in advance! Laptop make/model: Sony Vaio VGN-FZ190 BIOS link: None
