anyone tried Asus P5B-E ? Any reports? This is my first time trying it and I'm not eager to fry the motherboard on the first try. Maybe someone else can confirm it's working?
yep, i've tried it and it worked, just be sure to use a floppy or bootable usb pen drive to do it, don't try it from windows as it won't work, it will kill your board but vista won't activate. as with any afudos flash use A:\> AFUDOS /iBIOSNAME.ROM /pbnc /n (BIOSNAME is an example) and you'll never go wrong
errr i meant to say it "won't" kill your board, not will kill it, but yea, you know what i mean... use dos
Do you guys create two floppy disks...one as normal startup disk then the other with all of the BIOS and awdflash, etc on it? Or do you just remove all the files from the start-up formatted disk and add the BIOS and awdflash, etc onto that?
In your case 2 fdd, one for startup and other with bios file plus flasher. Your bios file have 1Mb. X
**** i should have just bought a **** asus, between dead bios chips and hassle i would have more than paid for the difference. **** abit ab9 pro just does NOT want to activate vista any way
Hey I don't know who did the asus p4s800-mx bios that was on here or who for however I came across one today and flashed it up and checked in everest and it worked fine... so you can add that to your list of working mods. Thanks again!
