I checked again the modded bios and is the ASUS SLIC that is there. So for some reason, your flash is not overwriting VIGLEN SLIC. Clear CMOS before flashing, flash it again using the old AFUDOS with commands from a boot FDD, to see if we can overwrite VIGLEN SLIC.
Even after adding the certificate, it's still asking for me to activate it. And everest can't read my BIOS/ACPI table so I can't verify.
I'm running Everest from my WinXP Install. I restarted and now it works "GATEWA" shows up as th OEM ID under all the ACPI tables... so I assume that means it's there? I did "slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\GATEWAY.xrm-ms" as Administrator It said the license was installed sucessfully... Even after restarting I still have x Days to activate... *edit* I'm sure I'm using a Gateway OEM key.... also my product ID does have the "OEM" in it
Yup, even in Vista I can see the "GATEWA" as the OEM ID, and it has the correct product key *edit* Does the SLIC table shows as "APIC" or does it explicitly say "SLP" or "SLIC" ? Becausein Everest there is: APIC APIC ASF! BOOT DSDT FACP FACS HPET MCFG RSD PTR RSDT SSDT
Didn't auto-activate (but I've been playing around with the install), so I'm blowing the system out, and installing directly from my Vista Ultimate dell DVD (it's a real one, not a download). I'll report back once the install is done.. Can't boot into Vista now, and keep getting a CPU error about the multiplyer not being able to be set. Going to try to flash the BIOS with a virgin version of this, then reflash with the modded one and see if that helps at all.
