You should use a bootable dos device (pen drive or floppy disc). Afudos is a tool for flashing AMI Bioses under dos command prompt. You can find it on this forum or searching on google !

Download afudos, prepare a bootable dos device (floppy would be better) or usb bootable pen drive.

Copy into it, bios file and afudos (flasher) and at command prompt type :

AFUDOS /iBIOS.rom /pbnc /n (where BIOS.rom is an example of bios file name) and press enter. It should flash the whole eeprom. Then reset, set bios options and boot. That's all.

I am sorry for asking such silly questions. But what are the steps mentioned above by you supposed to do? What does the term "Flashing the EEPROM" mean? Will doing this void me of warranty? Is it Risky?

EEPROM = Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory

Bios flashing procedure doesn't void any warranty. It's a legal operation. The only risk is if you do a bad flash or if you're unlucky (black out for example).

Flashing the EEPROM means that bios chip is deleted and then reprogrammed at all. That's it.
