    Sorry :(
    Black screen??

    Are you able to recover?

    Have you dualbios recovery?

    BIOS recovery
    Award BIOS
    The AWARD BIOS has a similar procedure to AMI. To recover an AWARD BIOS you will need to create a bootable floppy diskette and add the desired BIOS file (we recommend using the most recent). Award BIOS's generally are in .BIN format, where as AMI was .ROM format. You will also add an AWARD flash utility (usually awdflash.exe) and an AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
    The AWARD BIOS does not automatically restore the BIOS information to the 'system block' like the AMI BIOS does. You will need to add the commands necessary to flash the BIOS in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The system will run the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, which contains the flash instructions.

    Step by Step:

    1. Create a bootable floppy diskette

    2. Copy the BIOS file and flash utility to the diskette

    3. Create an text file with any standard text editor and add the following lines

    @ECHO OFF

    awdflash 12345678.BIN /py/sn/f/cc/r

    Exchange the awdflash with the name of whatever flash utility you are using, and replace the 12345678.BIN with the name of the BIOS file you are using. The parameters are explained here:

    py = program yes
    sn = save no
    f = flash
    cc = clear cmos
    r = reboot

    Don't you have a Jumper setting onboard to boot from the good bios?

    I'm downloading your board manual, to check.

    Try this steps in this order, you may need your mainbord CD in drive.

    Question 3: How do I clear CMOS?

    Answer: If your board has a Clear CMOS jumper, please refer to the Clear CMOS steps in the manual.

    If your board doesn't have such jumper, you can take off the on-board battery to leak voltage to clear
    CMOS. Please refer to the steps below:

    Steps:
    1. Turn off power.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from MB.
    3. Take out the battery gently and put it aside for about 10 minutes (Or you can use a metal object
    to connect the positive and negative pins in the battery holder to makethem short for one
    minute).
    4. Re-insert the battery to the battery holder.
    5. Connect power cord to MB again and turn on power.
    6. Press Del to enter BIOS and load Fail-Safe Defaults(or load Optimized Defaults).
    7. Save changes and reboot the system.

    B. How to use Dual BIOS and Q-Flash Utility?
    a. After power on the computer, pressing <Del> immediately during POST (Power On Self Test) it will allow
    you to enter Award BIOS CMOS SETUP, then press <F8> to enter Flash utility

    Do you know how to hot-flash?

    Since you got 2 boards.

    Greetings -- after class I intend on messing around with this (hopefully) one last time. I have two more bios chips with latest .17 bios on them (Abit AB9 Pro). When hot flashing should I really use awdflash or should i just run runme.bat ? So far I don't think awdflash has ever worked in a flash for me and while it's for award bios, it's an asus utility..not abit, correct? Also I intend on making a bootup floppy then a separate floppy with the modded bios on it. First I will probably hot flash the other two chips....or maybe try one more modded bios then use the final chip to flash the other 3.

    Any recommendations or tips? New modded bios I can try? Do XBIOS, China4Life and Yen all think that the latest posted bios mod (about 10 pages back) SHOULD work? I know it may or may not, but wanted to see if there was consensus. If these fail I'm just going to format vista and use XP for a long while until issue is hopefully sorted out, I can't keep formatting/breaking my bios/having main desktop computer not work for weeks at a time. Thanks very much!
