I advise you to first recover the chips, works a little bit as training hot-flashing :)

I can upload the Shaoliang modded bios if you want.

I use Asus flash utility when I'm crossflashing in different chipsets and boards, but you will flash in same board, so you can use awdflash from abit, and no you can't use runme.bat, only if you edit it with this commands:

    awdflash 12345678.BIN /py/sn/f/cc/r

/f is important meaning force flash.

    OK.

If you can send it, better, but you cud learn the process, once you done for the first time, second time is easyer. :)

Anyway, I'm sorry I should have done it, since I new the problem exist on the ABIT's, GYBABYTE's and some others, but I don't know all the models that have the GV3 (minit) problem.

The bios chip is also soldered onto the board which complicates things too

I will never buy, an Gigabyte board (I lost the count of hot-flashes I did on my boards). :D

I think is the reason for your system isn't booting. When we mod an bios (AWARD) we have to edit acpitbl.bin, and it goes off from the original position, to the last one in bios file. So the other modules position also change, and causes that GV3 module to read improperly, but until now I just knew that problem on P956 chipsets.

Let me see if I understood:

1 You have an DELL OEM VISTA DVD.
2 You have an DELL OEM KEY
3 You have an ASUS board without SLP2.0 support.

You will need to add DELL SLIC Table for OEM Activation.

If is your case, make the request as explained.

    harddisk already built with Vista

No - have a harddisk already built with Vista (but Dell OEM Version) and would like to activate on ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe, not sure what you mean by the mother board function? :)

SLP(System-Locked Preinstallation) is what you need for activation on OEM preinstalled systems.

    So make your request.

    need the original activation Key

Will I need the original activation Key? As I thought the Original Key would give me a added benefit?

    thank you for your help.

Not really needed, only for the original system.

You can use one from the several keys avaiable on net.
