Ok, let me do some testing, because I got same board, and was activated by the old static method. The difference is that I have PATA drive for booting, but I have an Adapter for Sata from my old NF2-S. I will post results. X
Loaded your bios...cpu speed display works again at post. Noticed updated SIL bios. Confirmed stays activated I will run yours since yours is definetly superior. Thank you again for your expert help BTW I figured you had one of these boards when I saw your post for the soundstorm drivers. Haven't tried the yet..thanks for those too.
Welcome. I'm installing VISTA ATM and it isn't recognising my HDD, don't know if is because the Adaptor or the Drivers I have is for RAID (3x12-vista-x86-logo-13670, worked on my EPOX 8RDA3+ in RAID), witch option did you chose in bios Sata Raid bios enable/disable? THX X
XBIOSES, could that problem with the abit an7 above be at all related to some of the problems I'm having? I also have my boot drive off of the 3112 ( i believe ) but its using SATA interface. Not sure if this difference in methodology might apply to my abit ab9 case as well!
Well part of the problem it's solved, connector was loose. If I choose Sata Rom Enable i can see my HDD on boot, but not in Vista installation, I didn't set it as RAID. Will be the next step if I don't find the right drivers. What you mean, by difference in methodology, related with the bios mod? X
