^ as long as it works the way everybody wants, gui is not an important thing coz these type of applications are not for every day use, these are just "use and forget" type of applications.
Doesn't GUI stop people from packaging it with W7 so they can't sell it as "pre-activated"? If so, then yes it SHOULD have a GUI.
It would be cool since this is such an awesome idea dude, if you made it both for beginners and advanced. daz loader is so easy to use I'd like to see this in a similar simple way dude. I'm not sure engineering this around the problem of people selling an activated windows 7 is the way to go. It's an important factor but I think the quality of the design should come first if it has to. I look forward to seeing how you do it regardless.
If it ran from within the task scheduler like suggested, i would like to see it run invisible on the background.... no need for a GUI in such scenario
Yes, I caused myself a few problems when I accidently opened it on an allready activated computer (retail). Got it fixed by restoring (with macrium). Not your fault, I shouldn't have opened it, when I came back and saw that the script had ran and i had the notification in my tray I was cussing myself.
Would a check on the current activation status not be better in such situation? if it is activated already do not rearm, if it is not activated rearm
Exactly, I didn't mean to open it. I have a test computer I wanted to play with it on but I have fat fingers and a small keyboard, seems I accidentally ran the script on my allready activated computer. EDIT, it was absolutely 100% my fault, I guess I should have left it zipped until I wanted to use it. I think I accidentally hit the enter key after dragging it to the desktop. Seems like curiosity killed the cat AND my activation but I was back up and running in 30 minutes after restoring an image. (45 GB image).
Dude this 'feature' has been available and been documentated since Vista SP0... nothing new Btw they explain how to extend the trial version (which normally can be done 4 times) with this new technique were able to reset the rearm count endless, not just 4 times
