Look at this batch script, provided by George King: And I have force installed package_4_for_kb4474419 (en-US language pack for WU) into uk-UA Windows Vista, because there is no uk-UA LP for WU from KB4474419, but however, WU is will be in English, but otherwise, it works fine (also maybe Patch_WUC.cmd and Vista + Server 2008 option will work)
On Vista installing the whole KB4474419 is forgets to install updated WU on all Windows Vista languages, and this batch script will also install it on en-US Windows Vista, and on unsupported languages (such as uk-UA (my native language), el-GR, th-TH, ar-SA, bg-BG, etc)
This feature works great on Syspreped Vista. Also drivers, languages removal and Reuse driver cache works together. Of course you need licensed version to use these features. I tested it in 08-2021. I hope latest NTLite performs these things same
Also Patch_WUC.cmd works after installing updated WUC (and force installing en-US language pack) from KB4474419, so, @abbodi1406 , I am found a way to restore Windows Update on unsupported languages
Well it appears that the February 2022 Servicing Stack Update KB5010452 has finally solved the dreaded C8000266 error when running Windows Update with the WUC patch. I reinserted July 2020 ESU Licensing Preparation Package KB4575904 along with February 2022 Servicing Stack Update KB5010452 into my lasted build and WU finished to completion showing the 2022-02 updates. I have only tried this on my x64 build at this time. I will try this on x86 and report back. Has anyone else tried this? Please let me know what your experience is. M2GD
My2GirlsDad: Look at the Windows Vista SP2 64-bit guide: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...s-vista-sp2-64-bit-beyond-its-eol-date.83461/ which was tested after January 2022 "patch Tuesday" and which was updated after February 2022 "patch Tuesday".
I must admit CaptainSpeleo I must have over looked this. I believe it's the SSU that made the difference because I didn't use the Root Cert Updates. Appreciate your feedback. M2GD
My2GirlsDad: I got July 2020 KB4575904 ESU LPP to work the month before February 2022 KB5010452 SSU was released. I used the new Root Certificates the month before, and that is when I was successful with C8000266 no longer appearing when checking for updates with Windows Update. If you were successful with using only the new SSU and not using the new Root Certificates, good for you.
CaptainSpeleo, actually good for both of us. I'm just glad it works again as I'm sure you are too. Appreciate all you do. M2GD
