Restored functionality help

    Hi,was going to reflash my bios to a modded version so I uninstalled the bootloader first.The problem is I can no longer get anything other than a browser.Is there any way to get back some functionality to reflash?
    Motherboard:Gigabyte P35-DS3 rev 1.0
    Core 2 Duo 6600
    Bios Award F3
    Asus OEM installed from Bootloader.Now invalid(duh to me)
    TIA for any help.

    Have you allready flashed the modded bios, if not flash it to see if Vista gets activated again.

    Hi Fzeven,will try the flash with the modded bios & let you know the results.One small noob question though regards putting in the certificate.Can you point me to the posts for this & the slp key procedures?

    You can give it a try with voatktools.

    Hi Fzeven,Voatktools installed Asus cert ok & oem key ok.It also replaced core2 duo banners with asus banners.Everest gives me the following:
    [ SLIC: Software Licensing Description Table ]

    ACPI Table Properties:
    ACPI Signature SLIC
    Table Description Software Licensing Description Table
    Memory Address DFEE87C6h
    Table Length 374 bytes
    OEM ID _ASUS_
    OEM Table ID Notebook
    Creator ID MSFT
    Ok,question is can I now safely delete the bootloader & not get back to the same problem?

    Yes, remove the bootloader if everything is okay it stays activated.
