Retail to OEM on already running XP system possible?

    Hi friends,

    is it possible to modify a already activated Windows XP Professional from Retail to OEM state by adding/changing the "oembios.*" files, maybe from a WinPE boot cd? Or do i have to reinstall the system with a OEM prepared XP-CD-ROM?

    The only problem i have, that the system i want to change to OEM is full installed and some self made applications aren´t available anymore (some controlling/financial accounting software) that are running on this rig.
