Okay I wanted to reinstall my windows with a 100% untouched and clean version. I have the following steps :
1.Download windows from one of the threads here in this case it is "C6620AE85D42FCA40C202B68C0E7124BC0EDA7C2 *pl_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677341.iso"
2.Check if the SHA-1 is right from here :msdn subscription(cant post link dont have enough posts)(click details)
    3.Burn with IMGBURN
    4.USe DaZ Loader
    5. Enjoy ?

Is this all to have a fully working and clean win 7 version ?

That would be it but don't forget to backup anything important that you have first!

Can i turn this ultimate iso into multi-version (home basic, home premium, pro, ultimate) iso?

    I tried ei.cfg removal utility from code.liu.org but it didn't work. o_O

    ---------

Nevermind... Rufus created and put back a ei.cfg on usb pendrive even though I used the removal utility on iso first.:nosweat::suicide:

Has anyone created an updated ISO with all current updates? It's SUCH a pain having to install 200+ updates from the SP1 ISO. Yes, I know there *are* ISOs out there that are supposedly updated, but I would like it from a *trusted* source.

    Thanks!

    One interesting thing happened after I downloaded the pt_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677457.iso md5: d862f9977fe8fb31e1ee1974df7815c5 sha1: 95c625d1c6a80cd8f4a188bc8547a436a108efce.

I put the image in a usb pendrive and installed on a compaq/hp notebook. I don't know why but after install I got errors with windows update besides the fact of it being forever stuck on 'checking for updates...'. I tried to fix this through manual update of windows agent and microsoft fixit solutions but they didn't work. Lucky me I had a non SP1 image version 7600 x64 16385.

After another re-format and installation (after five or six tries using x86 isos), the windows update found the drivers for the notebook and updates for the system. Maybe someone can shed a light on what happened. I'm puzzled and have no idea of what could have caused this.

    @Atari800XL

    Thanks for your reply!

One thing is certain, I installed the non SP1 version of Windows 7 x64 and all went well until I updated to SP1 via WU. After update and reboot it got stuck on "checking for updates..." for over an hour yesterday. I gave up and turned the notebook off and went to sleep.

I started over the update right now and it got stuck again with svchost.exe (netsvcs) consuming most of cpu together with trustedinstaller.exe and svchost.exe (LocalSystemNetworkRestricted) on resource monitor.

I used burf's installer for windows update v28 script to get securities and other hotfixes without the need to download using WU. I didn't even install W10, don't want to go that way. Weird thing is why the system got updates without problem before turning into SP1 and after SP1 it freezes on forever checking for updates? It makes no sense being a overloaded network or else I wouldn't be able to update the non SP1 version of the system as well. Maybe they are blocking updates for certain systems? Maybe is what you and others said, the queue for Win7 non SP1 is almost non-existant as the Win 8 one and that's why it goes faster until we reach the bottleneck (win7, Win8 > win 10 and vice-versa)?

Isn't the number of W10 upgrades and activations going downhill? I wonder what is happening. I'd like to know. :g:

It's nice when a mod tries and it works. :D
On the other hand, these links will be updated soon, I have to download all the .svf-files and do a new converting again. :)
