Hey guys, There's a workaround right now to run metro apps in lower resolutions by the "Downscaling support" trick from registry. However I found out that resolution check can be bypassed by editing a file in Windows 8. This works on Windows 8.1 too! So I am looking for someone who's good in decoding coz I cannot do the work. If you are interested, please reply here and leave your mail IDs. I will also keep this thread updated with latest news. Thanks!
Why would you run metro apps on a PC? Just get a smartphone and keep using decent programs on your rig.
I'm epic serios 'bout this. Microsoft optimized Windows 8 for lower devices too but cannot add full functionality? Here's the rule for metro apps= If metro apps are launched via metro (or metro apps), resolution check isn't made. Yes I even have the proof that they work! They don't even crash man!
I already have a Nexus bro. But still, many members want a workaround/hack. So let's make some news if possible.
Ok, big secret for those who care, secret locked up in Windows, approved my FBI, CIA, NASA, and Microsoft, for noone to see. Those curious: please leave your mail ID, bank account number, address, social, and size of shoes .. wwhaaat?? Just share with people what you found: maybe someone will find it useful.
