I always reduce the components such as EDGE with DISM++,and repack the install.wim.And product an ISO.
When I try to run it, it checks for updates and then automatically closes. v3.4 Does anyone know how to fix it or what Im doing wrong?
Hi Tovagulet Also had the same problem. Copy the script to C:\ and run it from there. It should work fine.
Thank you, I will try that next time. Luckily 3.4 worked after a few tries. I could not get 3.3 to work on 2 PCs (tried like 10 times) even though it has run before on them. This was with it on the desktop Update it still does the same thing, I needed to run it a few times.
Hello, first of all thank you so much for the awesome script . Secondly, I'd like to know if I could install the old 32calculator completely offline. I have already downloaded the calc package from your gdrive link, could you help me please? Thanks again for your contribution to the community.
Great script, but doesn't seem to remove some apps and edge. *Under boost SSD system files compression should be separate from the "all services in this section" reason being that if you have a small ssd or using tablet you'd probably not want to uncompress the files as space maybe an issue. Also adding in disabling of Action Center and removal of Windows Defender would be great. Ps: 4>4>10 (system file compression enable) doesn't seem to work, after the file system has been decompressed, just exits to desktop edit: seems edge is iffy, removal sometimes works sometimes doesn't Removal of twitter/xbox live/candycrush however didn't work. Not sure if this is default but i had word/powerpoint/excel mobile (basically read only mode) on my tablet as apps.
How do I check that all of telemtry was removed? It doesn't feel right that its just a message that says "Success" or something like that. Maybe a way to verify after if the programs are still there or they are removed or if the settings had been changed. Thanks.
Thank you for this usefull script. I tried option 8 on my Asus Taichi21 w/w10 (Home edition with last updates). I wanted to avoid MS update to install Intel Graphic 4000 new driver which disable all double screen functions. Asus Taichi21 has one Lid with one display Inside and a touchable one outside for Tablet mode. But Option 8 (Disable Driver update) does not avoid update of the Intel graphic. Does this option work for others?
The thing is, this app (3.4 version) must be run on first boot (without connecting to internet) Even if you let windows connect to internet for 5-10 seconds, bam! all the removed apps will still get installed as soon as you connect to net again. Best practice is to unplug the LAN cable while installing Windows fresh copy and don't enter WiFi passwords till you are done using this tool. Then only the changes stick around and you save data bandwidth. Second option is to install Windows, connect to internet and wait for a day to let it complete installing all the junk and then use this tool to uninstall. Do this if you do not have data caps. Each fresh install takes up 1GB download data to update drivers, apps, add useless language packs and features. This is a great app, but I think it needs update for uninstalling moar incoming bloat in Redstone/Anniversary update. I love it as it is the only app which uninstalls system app completely without breaking the Windows installation.
