I don't know if the batch was fully tested on build b1607, if you're using the Anniversary Edition and used the batch, that might be the problem. Probably the solution is checking what the batch changed, and compare against the original values in the Windows release you're currently using. I think all "tweaks" should be re-tested after every major release of Windows 10 to make sure they still work and that they don't do more harm than good. The batch itself should also check which build it's running on ("ver" command should be enough) and show compatible tweaks only.
Could someone post the sourcecode on github? Trying to download this file for weeks but it doesn't work.
6. Manage Updates > 1. Clean Windows Update Junk This option doesnt work anymore with the anniversary update. I get a continuous loop of error messages that says NET HELPMSG 3521 UPDATE : This option doesnt work only if one has upgraded to the anniversary update. If performed on machine that has been cleaned installed with the Anniversary Update ISO then it works as usual
I have W10 home v 10240. The Tweaker closes in an instance. Changed the language to US and done as suggested above. No chance Is anyone able to help me on this? Thanks edit: I have also tried with powershell. It opens for a mini-second and closes again.
Anniversary Edition - unwanted upgrade I have a lengthy procedure (written in fairly terse style, short on "why" and intended only for my own use prior to putting this up here) which I use to destroy all the odious cruft, money-hungry apps, and spy apparatus that infests Win10, and then trim and tweak the machine to my own individual satisfaction. Included is, of course, Toggle Tweaker (ver 3.5 as of this posting), in particular Step 12 "Goto LTSB" which I employ to block "upgrades." Lately several of my 10586-class machines upgraded anyway, but not all of them. Randomly, so far as I have been able to determine at this time. In the hopes of perhaps getting to the bottom of things, I'm going to past the entire procedure below. Perhaps there's a clue or two there that someone might see, which could serve to better block the upgrade. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I'm failing to do something right. I do not know. Which is why I'm including the whole thing. Yasser Da Silva cannot be thanked enough, by the way, and I can only hope that perhaps there might be a useful nugget or two in what follows, by way of a pitiful effort in paying back something to the community. Following the upgrades, much of what appears below had to be redone, from scratch, but not all of it. What they erased and replaced with their own corporate rubbish was a bit odd, a bit on the spotty side, and I do not fully understand the sense of it. Is there a way to revert the settings ? I changed some telemetry settings now i cannot play online games from Windows store
You probably should have done a backup of the drive before using a batch that messes with the internals of the operating system, it seems it hasn't been fully updated to comply with the latest build of Windows 10 so it's prone to create havoc within the system. Most likely the only solution now is to reformat / reset your operating system. I'm all for tweaking as long as it's limited to registry settings...
Hey, Is there going to be a new update out for this soon? It doesn't work properly on Windows 10 Anniversary. For instance the Windows Denfender disable doesn't work. When I disable windows defender even though everything shows it's disabled the Defender icon shows up in the task bar saying the system is protected. This is even after I do a clean install and run Toggle Tweaker 3.5. Thanks,
