hello do you know of any script in linux or windows that allows me to watch a directory and rar the new contents in another directory ?
Probably be easy to do with Powershell if you are using Windows 7 or 2008 R2 above. Otherwise have to go through clunky WMI for older Windows. Let me know what OS you have and I will look into a snippet that might work.
I use this app (freeware). Its called autounpack, and it will monitor a directory and if found, use quickpar to fix the rars, and then extract the rar to a directory of your choosing. It works great for newsgroups. http://download.cnet.com/AutoUnpack/3000-2250_4-10578583.html
