ive just put a seagrave hdd in my pc my os is xp fine. been on there site because was not sure hoe to set it to slave.anyway its a seagrave st380012a 80g ive used there tool thay have tested ok every fine plug it in go into bios press enter save y.done all that i can see it in the bios even on my pc f8 lets u boot from there i can see seagate.but the problem is it is not showing up in my pc when you click on my pc all i see is my cdrive my writers but no seagate or d or f there is nothing there. i want to use it for slave on there site it says no jumpers thats what ive done. any help please what have i done double checked everything help thanks.
thank you every1 for your help format everything ok now so i have spare hdd just for storage. now the hdd that packed up is there away at getting the stuff of it ie recovery programe ( free if possiable) i have stuff on it that i use plus music and films but im not sure that it spins the other 2 do so any help please. ps its a maxtor diamondmax plus 9 code yar41 bwo sn y25m9 ske 80g
