Thank you very much ^^! Now i have the 5cd's, tested them, they 're working fine... But i think i had a problem: After it finishes creating the cd images it says something like the data it's not equal to the original discs... This isn't too important for me, but i'd like to know if "CD-ROM" is a correct label (Because all 5cd's have that label), or if original cd's had another one... I also have a doubt: Normal XP updates work in FLP? Did you try? And.. Sp3 was distributed only in digital form or there were cd's?
Ok, i understand. Thank you very much for taking your time to help me! Edit: Tried multiple times to download the cd2 from the link you posted but it always fails to download at 23% or so... Tried to download the other 4cd's from the same site but same results... Searched a lot in google but the only things i found are dead torrents or dead ed2k links... Sorry if i'm being a little annoying but can you upload EULA.TXT, MUISETUP.EXE, README.TXT and RELNOTES.TXT?
Hey when I searched for the XP N MUI packs some time ago all sources were dried up but today I found mui_win_xp_pro_n_cd2.iso and downloaded it. If you google for XP MUI packs you will find many alive files called MUI_WXM_CDX.iso (where X stands for 1-5). So I downloaded MUI_WXM_CD2.iso and compared it to mui_win_xp_pro_n_cd2.iso. Both files are exactly the same size and all files inside the ISO are equal. The only difference is the header: the CD label, modification date and CDImage version that was used to create the images are different. So if you need a Windows XP MUI CD you have three alternatives, as the files inside the archives are exactly the same: - MUI_WXM_CDX.iso (easy to find) - mui_wxm_cdX.exe (easy to find) - mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX.iso (mostly dried up) Since I would choose ISO over EXE file archives I could use the MUI_WXM_CDX.iso packs. But since there are only checksums for mui_wxm_cdX.exe and mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX.iso on TechNet my idea was to download the MUI_WXM_CDX.iso files, replace the headers by the ones of mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX.iso and finally to compare against TechNet checksums. So if anyone has CD 1, 3, 4 or 5 of mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX.iso, could you upload their headers please? You can easily extract them by opening the images using a hex editor and searching for [AutoRun]. The header is the part from the beginning of the file to the byte before [AutoRun]. Thank you!
So do you have the 5 normal iso and 5 n iso? Could you do delta files for n -> normal iso? Or did they turn out identical?
delta for mui cd mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX-to-MUI_WXM_CDX: mirrorcreator.com/files/N1XRZGVH/mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX-2-MUI_WXM_CDX.zip_links MUI_WXM_CDX-to-mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX mirrorcreator.com/files/KLKGNZT6/MUI_WXM_CDX-to-mui_win_xp_pro_n_cdX.zip_links
Almost identical: the only differences are cd title, CDimage version (mui_win_xp_pro_n used 2.46, MUI_WXM 2.47), timestamps and obviously the CRC values. So only the ISO header differs.
Yep, I see that now with the help of un user. Still makes little sense, n version is older than the normal version. Looks to me like someone at Microsoft screwed up and swapped them around. N MUI version is from 2001 when XP was originally released and the non N MUI version is from 2004. N version of Windows XP itself was released in 2004, so would almost put money on Microsoft swapped them around.
