All Asus Laptop that didnt come with Windows 8 preinstalled dont have the Setting for CSM and SecureBoot in Bios because its hidden.

We should all write Asus support about that that they fix it in a new Bios update.

Do you have the Blue logo startscreen or the manufacturer (Asus) startscreen above the spinning circle at boot-up ?

According Asrock your board is Windows 8 ready so it should come with secure boot option. Sometimes its hard to find.

Do you have latest Bios 1.80

yep, latest BIOS (just updated it yesterday). I searched up and down the settings and couldn't find anything that just said "SecureBoot" or anything like that. Even tried setting security passwords and none appeared :/

According to this, it should be under Security settings, but I only have the first two settings for passwords.

Go to Search > Edit Group Policy>Administrative Templates > All Settings > disable "use

enhanced boot configuration data validation profile"

Apply setting then restart your computer.

The people seeing the SecureBoot watermark, are you activated?

I don't have SecureBoot, and I don't see the watermark anymore, not sure why (didn't do anything to get rid of it).

    Yes I am activated

I also tried the Gpedit route but it made no difference the water mark remains

It looks to me as though this is a bug in 8.1

    K :(

I didn't want to enable Secureboot in my BIOS.
My solution to get rid of that watermark was by manually editing with RessourceHack these files: basebrd.dll.mui and shell32.dll.mui
You will find instructions on how to do this by googling "remove watermark".

Is it just me or does it seems like that this only happens on ASRock and Asus?

Edit: For me it is still the full watermark, while I am activated "Windows 8.1", "Secureboot isn't configured correctly" and "Build 9600"...
