    Hello;

    First I must start off by saying my intentions are not to Pirate software from Microsoft.

    Backstory :

    Is there a way to create a Windows 7 Install ISO that contains all the necesary files to activate A "big name" unit just as an OEM DVD would activate it?

    As I understand it, an OEM DVD of windows 7 requires 3 things to self activate the install:

    1. An SLP string stored in BIOS unique to the MFG/Version of Windows to be activated.

    2. An SLIC key (in place of a CD key) unique to the MFG/Version of Windows to be activated.

    3. SLP certificate file that must match the SLP string stored in BIOS.

    Could all 3 requirements for all the major MFGs (Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony, etc etc.) be added to a Windows 7 All-In-One ISO that would automatically activate the OS using the appropriate SLP keys based off of the SLIC string, just as genuine OEM restore media from the MFG would? King of like an automated Daz Loader, but used for a legit purpose ;D

    I just want a DVD I can use to restore the OS of any mainstream manufactured PC and not have to worry about activation if the COA is removed, since only about 5% of the clients I work with actually have restore media.

    Ofcourse if the machine is not a "Big name" brand machine (read:custom build) I dont want/care if it activates. I really only deal with idiots that are irresponsible and lose/create recovery DVDs. I'm really not looking for a way to do anything more than make life easy for myself, and Im sure for countless other techs (Think of how useful this would be, and how much time that would be saved!)

    Thank you,
    ZeroByte

    P.S. The ISO I am using is a Genuine Windows 7 retail ISO with the ei.cfg removed to allow selection of the appropriate Win7 version/All-In-One.
