slmgr -rearm to reset the activation days

slmgr /dlv - shows how many "rearms" you have left

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

slmgr.vbs (aka Software Licensing Manager) is an integrated part of Windows since Vista/Server 2008.

I've downloaded from the links twice now and I'm getting the following:

    Code:
    WindowsServer2012Essentials-English-Install.iso

    Sha-1 0B2B20FDAF2D5BEC9132E0AAF530E956EF87BC32

Have they changed the Evaluation copy available at these links or should I try a third time?

    @100

    Little off topic ;)

Using delta files opens a new world in file sharing... now burnbit.com opens the second one.

Please, I've downloaded from the links above the following:

    WindowsServer2012Essentials-Italian-Install.iso

    sha-1: 9b0aeab1ac3af54de226b8d42856d5bf9e5481be

it is correct? on the MS Technet don't found the related md5 & sha-1 values.

    Thank you

Just a quick heads up for anyone going the SLIC route, be sure to install it with the eval key and not an OEM key. As I discovered the other day, the server will fail the setup process if you use the OEM key since you can't install the certificate first. Once the server setup is complete you can switch to OEM activation.

Is this when installing using the trial version or the MSDN version? - or doesn't it matter?

I was using the MSDN version. But the only difference between the two is the signature on the install.wim file, so this catch should be the same for both versions.

Are you installing a version with a domain controller?

Then a possible likely reason for failing setup process could be not being connected to something . Try installing it connected to switch and with clients connected to switch if you want them set up at install.

It has to be plugged into a network to even run the setup process. So what you listed is effectively a requirement (though you won't and can't add clients to the domain until the setup process is complete).
