Is this some false sense of paranoia? If the end result - despite matching hashes - is supposedly not the same, how would you know if someone uploads a trial-to-msdn ISO claiming it's an MSDN ISO? When you download stuff from the Internet, the hash is all you have.

There's no point posting these redundant names. Same hash = same file. The bold part is especially pointless. The name is not included in the hash and doesn't matter a single bit if you burn this file to a DVD. The name is lost there so it doesn't matter what its purpose was.
Well, theoretically, there can be the same hash and two completely different files, which will not have neither 1MB in common. ) But that is not the case, of course. Those two files are completely same and MSDN filename is far better.
