    moderate I installed datacenter and I only see "Windows 2000 Server - Built-in TS Per Device CAL". However, once I went through activation via activate.microsoft.com and used the tips in another thread I got as many CALs as I wanted :D

    Can you please confirm that you had 50 CALs without activating or doing anything other than a vanilla install of datacenter. Many thanks.

    I've activated for testing via our company KMS just after installation and few mods. As I ended testing I've scrapped the partition. Of course there will be no CALs visible without activation.

    Ok, so I've done more testing and activating datacenter via KMS does not give you any CALs. You have to activate the license server and then install licenses using activate.microsoft.com. At least this is my experience for both Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 datacenter. :confused:

    I agree, it is a little lame to create a drop-box account for you to earn credit toward a bigger box. Just post the links for us.

    I don't need any more "room" at DropBox. I already pay for 200GBs. :) Nobody forces you to accept the invitation, just download it from elsewhere, if you don't prefere DP. :)

    Note: There are more than just storage server and foundation edition included in this magnet link, so you need to uncheck other editions when starting the download.
