How much patience is needed to create a temporary user? Come on! a new profile isn't meant to switch your main user. Is there to understand if you have a problem limited to your profile or a bigger problem that affects the whole system. Whatever it's your problem, not mine so do what's you think is best for you.

Ok, now I got it StartAllBack works, but only if suggested by LiteOS. If you install it because I suggest it, it breaks things.
Unfortunately the issue persists. I presume something I've done over the years of upgrading has affected explorer. Sometimes it doesn't refresh, so I delete a file nd I have to manually refresh to see it gone. Emptying the recycle bin leaves the icon full. Sometimes I try to access a network drive and explorer hangs. It usually fixes temorarily when I restart, but ultimately the issues return. I wish I knew what I was doing to cause the bad behaviour!

Here's an ancient Registry entry, maybe it helps with the Refresh issue. Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Update Create a DWORD entry with the name "UpdateMode" with value 0, or, in case it is there, ensure it is set it to 0.
I'll give anything a try at this point! That Update key didn't exist so I created the DWORD underneath. I'll evaluate and return here with results. EDIT: unfortunately nothing.
