No, this drive is slow and no fast... What is your budget for SSD? If you need SSD get from this cheap budget models Crucial BX500, Kingston UV400 or UV500
What about Gigabyte GP-GSTFS31120GNTD SSD ? do you have any idea is it any good ? I know that this Kingston SSD has stopped working after 1 year to a friend, he bought it on Aliexpress, meaby it was a fake Kingston SSD
Kingston aren't known for durability but I have a 120GB 300V that I used in a internal dock to backup my OCZ Agility 3 on my G 780 for YEARS. Almost as fast as the OCZ and still works perfectly. Replaced the G 780 a year ago with a 6th gen i3 model and finally gave up on the Mechanical taking forever Wanted a Samsung but saved some bucks and went with a 500GB Crucial BX500. What a difference in speed when doing anything 120GB is just a little too small for my needs.. EDIT: I am running my deskblock on a Kingston 240GB 300 V and that's pretty much all the capacity I really need
WD blue 500 3d nand sata seems to be working fine, Im using it as an external hot swap on an old computer for steam games with an in win box and a 890gxmg65 MB.
Sorry, but why? Is it because of the processor or something else? What processor do you have? Is it Intel Pentium Quad Core 4th Gen N3540 or something else? For example Intel® Celeron® Processor N2830, AMD A6 Quad-Core?
I from this pc where write I use Gigabyte 120 GB SSD GP-GSTFS31120GNTD and have it ~1 year and for now no have problem Also this SSD is good Crucial 120GB BX500
An SSD on sata II is definitely worth it and still very fast. Any SSD is faster than any hard drive, even if your computer only has sata II ports.
Just get it Crucial BX 500 120 GB and don't worry, my old pc is from 2008 year and have SATA2 but I use Gigabyte SSD 120 GB SATA3 just no get full speed work in mode SATA2
