^ THIS Windows Server 2016 DataCenter Edition was what I was using and I loved it, but it had a few drawbacks. Wasn't as friendly with more than one user and couldn't get Google Chrome Cast to work with it. The deciding factor was Chrome Cast, but otherwise, I'd still be using this. I liked it because it was using way fewer resources. The thing was fast and I mean fast (slower to boot up, but once it load... zoom, zoom). You had all your resources for apps and games without the OS dragging you down.
W10 anniversary isn't released as well. So? We are using both of them w/o any problem. That's the theory. The real world scenario is that Server 2016 its the lightest and cleanest windows of its generation Disabled features are there to be enabled, if needed. No that's wrong. You are talking about Internet explorer, not Internet browsing. You can reenable it with one click , but obviously IE is disabled because of a reason. No one should ever open it, no matter the windows version or generation. Just install a decent browser like Vivaldi or Opera and live long and prosper. Server 2016 has little to do with earlier versions. Everything is already in place except the BT stack (use the toshiba one if needed) and few settings that can be set from a single place using the good old MSC2012 Said captain obvious... Even if it was available hardly a random home user had a previous server to upgrade.
The OP was asking specifically for the licensing info, that's why I put in in there. He asked about upgrading with the DAZ Loader, in which case Server is not an option.
