Well yeah, just not ten years late. Anyway, between two to five minutes for an ordinary shutdown? Nonsense. Mine's can shut down in under a minute (but I generally hibernate each day anyway, because it's more convenient).
Reading around the net i often found these registry entrys that are suposed to help shutting down and restarting windows systems . Theres another one but i cant remember it at the moment . They sometimes work for me but not allways . At the moment i have problems with a program that wont let go when i restart or shut down my computer inspite of those settings . It maybe Open-Shell-Menu . "AutoEndTasks"="1" "HungAppTimeout"="1000" "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="1000" "LowLevelHooksTimeout"="1000" I take no responsibility and make no claims for those registry entrys . Its just what i read .
Cool !! Thanks . I'm glad i could help . My shutdown time is about 1 second because i just pull the plug out .
