shutdown not working

    Ok found it, but WOW, what the hell has hybrid boot to do with the requirement for a pw on wakeup? Not the best choice to place the option there MS!

    i usually set-up always a password when i create my account....but remembering in 7850 had the same without password....
    Maybe it comes out here when you add a pw to your user access.....

    i may be blind but i cant see the "change the options that are currently unavailable" option (or i misunderstood your post)

    you do not have to be smart, is the same, i misunderstood to write.....is unuseful to evidence that man.....i do not like!

    Just click "change settings that are currently unavailable" (which definitely is there), and uncheck the checkbox, save changes...

    Hmm weird... Maybe you need to unlock features before you have that option. I don't know cause unlocking things is the first thing I did after installing.

    very strange, Hybrid boot is a well known win8 feature,
    maybe is related with your file missing said befor....

    I also have no blu.dll, and I'm pretty sure I never had it. The option is still there however, so I don't think that file has anything to do with it.

    @ Paul3200: is your powercpl.dll intact and 6.2.7955 version? I think that's the dll that controls the power options layout, just as systemcpl.dll controls the coputerpropperties.

    maybe all the activators and changes are making mess in dll.....

    clean install and than 1.4 blue pill.....:D

    It could be a bug or you have to repair your window.

    Try using CMD.EXE, then running shutdown -s
