The updatepack can't handle multi-arch iso's, just feed the pack the install.wim files separately. After all is done, replace the the old files with the new ones.

Hi, May I ask what is the final size of the ISO for any one index updated (like Professional) fully with IE11 using offline mode? I've made my own ISO by installing Win7 Pro on a VM and then updating it in online mode using Simplix pack and then later Windows Update. I also installed .Net framework 4.7.2 on it. After that I ran a bunch of cleanups, used "sysprep /generalize" and captured the system image in an install.wim. The ISO resulted in 4.87GB in size after adding usb3.0 and nvme drivers too to boot.wim and install.wim. I wanted to know what size you get for a single updated index offline to see if it's worth the trouble doing it in online mode and then capturing the image. Thanks. Regards.
i don't think using the tool online or offline makes a difference as it will logically result in the same size.
That's certainly not the case my friend. Adding updates offline does not integrate/install them fully always. Some updates do set a "pending" flag on the wim image. These updates install at the time just before OOBE phase or basically you could say these install when the OS is installing. Doing it online and then capturing the image means everything is already installed and ready to deploy. This is similar to how MS does it on a refreshed ISO image like Win7 with SP1 iso. Installing the OS is certainly faster and the image is much more optimized and possibly less in size. I may have more size because I integrated .Net framework too which increases the captured image's size by a significant factor. Also the USB3.0 and NVME drivers integrated in offline mode. My reason to ask was just out of curiosity how much of a difference it would make. I did the same thing back in June 2018 and the resulting ISO was only 4.3GB with .NetFx4.7.2. I just want to know how much of a difference is there between this and an offline updated image.

@ashish.k sorry i have misled you about the size, 6 GB size that i mentionned was in fact the total size that i obtained when i integrated updates using simplex into win7 AIO x86/x64 (multi arch). to be clear, simplex does not allow to integrate updates into multi arch iso so i first integrate updates using simplex into win7 AIO x86 then did the same procedure into win7 AIO x64 then i merged both arch into one iso which resulted in 6 GB at the end

I gave offline integration a try with Win7 Pro SP1 x86 ISO. Went from 1.97GB wim to 2.62GB. Using the ie11, optimize and nousb flags. Good enough I think. Saved a lot of time. I have installed it and my computer does start strangelly, when it is on the blue previous screen before entering windows the screen turns black one or two times an then blue again. Also it seems that the drivers (I can test it by using the volume and bright hotkeys) are starting later then when I havent updated. Anything that I can do?
